Grilled Sausage With Sweet Potato And Apple Kabobs

Ingredients
  Pork sausage links/Bratwurst/polish sausage 1 Pound (Fresh Country-Style)
  Apple jelly 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted
  Orange juice/Lemon juice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1 Dash
  Nutmeg 1 Dash
  Sweet potato 1 Large, cut crosswise into 3/4-inch slices
  Apple 1 Large, cored, cut into 8 wedges
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon, melted
Directions

Combine jelly, orange juice, allspice and nutmeg.
Parboil sweet potatoes in boiling water 7 minutes; drain.
Thread sweet potato slices and apple wedges on four 12-inch skewers.
Brush lightly with butter.
Place sausages on grid over low to medium coals.
Grill 5 minutes.
Place kabobs on grid and brush sausage and kabobs with apple jelly mixture.
Grill 10 minutes, turning and brushing with jelly mixture after 5 minutes.
Internal temperature of sausage should register 170°F
