Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 4 Tablespoon
  Packed brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Dry white wine 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Chicken broth 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vinegar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Canned sauerkraut 28 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Shredded potato 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Tart apple/Green apples 2 Cup (32 tbs), pared and sliced
Directions

In 2-quart casserole, cook onion in butter at HIGH for 2 minutes, stirring once.
Stir in brown sugar; cook at HIGH for 1 minute or till sugar melts.
Add wine, chicken broth, vinegar, and salt.
Stir in kraut and potato.
Cook, covered, at MEDIUM (5) for 30 minutes.
Add apples.
Cook, covered, at MEDIUM (5) for 30 minutes more.
Drain.
