Green Pea Stew With Rice

This is a very simple vegetarian recipe for pea stew with tomato sauce and rice on the side.
Ingredients
  Peas 1 Pound (Fresh Or Frozen)
  Tomato paste 1 Can (10 oz)
  Onion 1 Medium, diced
  Cooking oil/For lower calorie meal, use spray oil. 2 Tablespoon
  Water/Meat broth 1 Cup (16 tbs) (As Required)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

MAKING
1. Saute' the onion in oil, add peas, add the diluted tomato paste, add salt and pepper.
2. You can dilute the tomato paste with meat broth instead of water.
3. Season and boil over on high heat for few minutes then lower the heat and let simmer for at least half an hour or until peas are soft and the sauce tastes cooked and stewed.

FINALIZING
4. Cook white rice on the side.

SERVING
5. Serve hot.
