Green Pea Stew With Rice
|Peas||1 Pound (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|Tomato paste||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Onion||1 Medium, diced|
|Cooking oil/For lower calorie meal, use spray oil.||2 Tablespoon|
|Water/Meat broth||1 Cup (16 tbs) (As Required)|
1. Saute' the onion in oil, add peas, add the diluted tomato paste, add salt and pepper.
2. You can dilute the tomato paste with meat broth instead of water.
3. Season and boil over on high heat for few minutes then lower the heat and let simmer for at least half an hour or until peas are soft and the sauce tastes cooked and stewed.
4. Cook white rice on the side.
5. Serve hot.
