|Onion||2 Cup (32 tbs), chopped|
|Minced leeks||1 Cup (16 tbs) (White And Some Green)|
|Chopped celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped turnip/Rutabaga||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shredded cabbage||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||7 Cup (112 tbs)|
|Black peppercorns||3 , crushed|
|Minced basil||2 Tablespoon|
|Herbs||1 Tablespoon, minced|
Saute vegetables in butter 10 minutes.
Add water and seasonings, cover, bring to boil, lower heat and simmer 2 hours.
Strain, adjust seasonings to taste and serve hot or cold garnished with fresh herbs.
