Leeks With Bel Paese
|Olive oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cheese||4 Ounce, thinly sliced|
Trim greens from leeks 2 inches above bulb; discard greens.
Remove outer layer of bulb.
Wash leeks thoroughly.
Cut into large pieces.
Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
Add oil, milk and leeks.
Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until leeks are tender; drain thoroughly.
Place leeks in buttered 1-quart casserole.
Cover with cheese.
Bake in preheated 350 °F oven 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Season to taste with pepper.
