Sauteed Plantains & Sweet Potatoes

Sautéed Plantains & Sweet Potatoes-Yum, yum and yum. I cannot express in words the awesome taste of this great combo. Make this and keep saying yum!
  Cooking oil 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)
  Sweet potatoes/Yams 480 Milliliter, cooked and sliced (2 Cups)
  Plantains 2 , peeled and chopped
  Chopped green onion 120 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)
  Cooked ham 120 Milliliter, chopped (1/2 Cup)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Chicken broth/Beef broth 120 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)
  Butter/Margarine 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)
  Chopped thyme/Chervil/dill/savory 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste

In a large skillet, melt 2 tbs butter and cooking oil until hot.
Add potatoes, plantains, onions, ham, if desired, and garlic.
Cook, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes.
Add broth; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until plantains are tender.
Add remaining butter and desired fresh herbs; season to taste with salt and pepper.
