Veal Florentine (Vitello Alla Fiorentina)
|Veal steak||1 Kilogram, cubed (2 Pound)|
|Onion||1 , sliced|
|Olive oil||62 1⁄2 Milliliter (0.25 Cup)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Tomatoes||250 Gram, peeled (0.5 Pound)|
|Dry white wine||62 1⁄2 Milliliter (0.25 Cup)|
Saute the onion in the oil for about two minutes.
Add garlic and cook for another minute.
Add meat and brown well on all sides.
Add tomatoes, rosemary, wine and salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and cook over a low heat for about 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
