Veal Chops Savoyarde

Ingredients
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Veal chops 4 , trimmed of fat (3/4 Inch)
  Dry vermouth 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Black forest ham slice 4
  White sauce 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs), heated
  Grated gruyere cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Paprika 1 Dash
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

? Heat butter in large frying pan over medium heat. Add chops and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Turn chops over, season and continue cooking 4 to 5 minutes; adjust time depending on size.
? Transfer cooked veal to baking dish. Pour vermouth into frying pan and cook 1 minute over high heat; pour over chops. Cover each with slice of ham, layer of white sauce and layer of cheese. Season and sprinkle with paprika.
? Broil 3 minutes to melt cheese, and serve.
