Ingredients
  Veal shanks 2 Pound, cut
  Oil 45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon)
  Onions 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), finely chopped
  Tomato paste 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Flour 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoons)
  Beef stock 500 Milliliter (2 Cups)
  Chicken stock 500 Milliliter (2 Cups)
  Bay leaf 1
  Rosemary 1 Pinch
  Ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Parsley 2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Endives 4 , halved
  Mushrooms 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), thinly sliced (125 Milliliter)
Directions

–  In a heavy saucepan, heat oil and sear meat. Add onions and garlic, and stir.
–  Add tomato paste and flour.
–  Add beef and chicken stock, then season with bay leaf, rosemary, pepper, nutmeg, parsley and salt. Let mixture simmer for about
1 hour.
–  Halfway through cooking process, add endives. Add mushrooms 15 minutes before end of cooking time, adjust seasoning and serve,
