Easy Veal Roast
|Rolled veal roast||3 Pound|
Use a microwave trivet or invert a heat-resistant non metallic saucer or small casserole cover in the bottom of a shallow non-metallic baking dish.
Place roast fat-side-down on the saucer or trivet.
Rub meat with garlic and pepper if desired.
Well done veal requires 8 minutes per pound total cooking time.
Heat, uncovered, on full power for half of total cooking time.
Drain pan juices and reserve if gravy is to be made.
Turn meat over, cover loosely with wax paper and heat for remainder of the cooking time on full power until internal temperature reaches 160Â°F.
Let roast stand covered in aluminum foil 15 to 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170Â°F.
DO NOT PLACE CONVENTIONALTHERMOMETER OR ALUMINUM FOIL IN THE MICROWAVE OVEN.
If necessary, return roast to Microwave Oven for a few minutes until desired internal temperature is reached.
Salt meat after cooking, if desired.
