Turnip Gratin

Ingredients
  Chopped garlic 4 Clove (20 gm) (About 1 Tablespoon)
  Turnips 1 Pound, peeled and cut into 1/8 inches (4 Turnips)
  Dried fine herbs 2 Teaspoon
  Red potatoes 1⁄2 Pound, peeled (2 Small Potatoes)
  Buttermilk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Home Made)
  Salt To Taste
  Ground black pepper To Taste
Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of the garlic on the bottom of a gratin dish.
Layer with about half the turnip slices.
Sprinkle with half the fines herbes and a dash of salt and pepper.
Scatter a second teaspoon of garlic over the seasoned turnip slices, then add a layer of potato slices.
Top with the remaining fines herbes, another dusting of salt and pepper, and the rest of the garlic.
Arrange the final layer of turnip slices on top, pour the butter milk over all, and top with the bread crumbs.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the bread crumbs are brown..
