Soy Braised Turnips

Ingredients
  Turnips 6
  Lard/Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Chopped scallions 2 , chopped
  Soy sauce 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Peel and grate the turnips on a coarse grater.
Heat the lard or oil in a skillet; saute the turnips for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the salt and water; cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes.
Stir in the scallions, soy sauce, and pepper.
Cook for 3 minutes.
