Ingredients
  Turnips 4 Cup (64 tbs), peeled
  Dry red wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onions 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Bacon drippings/Salt pork meat 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Hot sauce 1 Teaspoon (Louisiana)
Directions

Put all ingredients in a pot and cook over low heat until turnips are tender.
