Turnips Sauteed with Greens
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), cut in half|
|Olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Turnips||1 Pound, peeled, halved, and thinly sliced (4 Pieces, 500 Gram)|
|Grated lemon zest||1|
|Lemon||1 , juiced|
|Mustard greens/Half and half kale and watercress||12 Ounce, roughly chopped (350 Gram)|
In a large saucepan fry the garlic in the olive oil until brown, then discard.
Add the sliced turnips and sprinkle with salt and the grated lemon zest.
Saute for 5 minutes.
Add the chopped greens and sprinkle with pepper and the lemon juice.
Cover and steam for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and leave covered for 10 minutes, to finish steaming.
