Gingered Rutabagas

Ingredients
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Rutabagas pieces 4 Cup (64 tbs) (1/2 inch)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Place all ingredients in1 1/2-quart casserole.
Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) 8 minutes; stir.
Cover and microwave until tender, 8 to 10 minutes longer. Mash to a smooth texture.
Let stand 5 minutes.
