Herbed Turnip Greens
|Salt pork||1⁄4 Pound|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Turnip greens||2 1⁄2 Pound, washed and trimmed (Two 1 1/4 Pound Prepacked Packages)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground black pepper||1 Dash|
Wash salt pork and cut into 4 pieces.
Place in a large saucepan with water.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until pork is almost done.
Wash greens thoroughly and cut off coarse stems.
Add to pork along with salt, sugar, marjoram, and pepper.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until greens and pork are tender.
