Barbecued Turkey Roast
|Frozen boneless turkey roast||7 Pound (1 Whole)|
|Savory sweet tart sauce/Barbecue sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
If not preseasoned, rub surface of turkey roast with salt and pepper.
Center roast on a motor-driven spit, following manufacturer's directions for roasts.
Insert meat thermometer, being sure it does not touch spit.
Brush roast with melted butter or margarine.
Roast turkey until done, 2 1/2 to 3 hours (meat thermometer should register 170Â° to 175Â°F).
During last 20 to 30 minutes, brush roast occasionally with Savory Sweet-Tart Sauce.
Remove roast from spit; let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
Serve with additional sauce.
