Oven Barbecued Turkey
|Oven ready turkey/Boneless turkey roast||9 Pound (1 Small Sized Bird)|
|Barbecue sauce||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs) (Any Flavor)|
Tie turkey drumsticks together to tail. Twist wings over back. Place turkey breast side up on rack in deep roasting pan. Pour on half the sauce; cover, and bake for 30 minutes. Pour on remaining sauce; cover, and bake 3 hours. If boneless roast is used, time the baking as package directs. Pour off pan drippings; skim off fat. Then bake uncovered, basting frequently with drippings, about 1 hour, or to internal temperature of 190 degrees F. Serve hot or cold with hot drippings as sauce.
