Ingredients
  Turkey 8 Pound
  Boiling water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
Directions

1. Clean and wash a hen turkey; dry, leave whole or cut in serving pieces.
2. Place in kettle and add enough boiling water to half cover; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, tightly covered, 3 to 5 hours, or until tender. Skim off foam as it forms on top. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt per pound after the first hour of cooking.
3. Serve with gravy made from the stock and with Dumplings or use the meat in salads, souffles, creamed or baked dishes.
