Ingredients
Turkey 12 Pound, thawed (1 whole)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon, melted
Brown bouquet sauce 2 Tablespoon (Commercial)
Directions

Turkey should be completely thawed before microwaving.
If using the microwave to thaw, follow manufacturer's directions for placement in the oven.
Use thin strips of foil to shield parts which may begin to cook during the thawing process.
When almost thawed, place the turkey under cold running water to complete thawing.
The quality of the finished microwaved turkey will be better if the turkey is completely thawed before cooking.
When ready to roast, remove the giblets and any metal clamps.
Dry the turkey thoroughly.
Combine the butter and bouquet sauce.
Brush all surfaces of the dry turkey with the sauce.
Then roast by either of the following methods.
Oven Cooking Bag Method: This method requires less handling and produces a moist surface.
Cut a 2-inch strip from open end of oven cooking bag.
Place prepared turkey in bag and put in a large flat baking dish.
Pour 1/2 to 2/3 cup water over turkey.
Use the cut strip to tie the bag closed.
Cut slits in oven bag.
Microwave at HIGH minimum time.
Check for doneness by inserting a standard oven thermometer into the meatiest part of the thigh.
Temperature should be 170° to 175° when the turkey is first removed from the microwave, and should reach 185° after standing 10 minutes.
Remove thermometer and return turkey to microwave at HIGH if more cooking time is required.
Let stand, covered with foil, 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
Waxed Paper Method: This method produces a drier surface and requires more attention.
Place prepared turkey, breast side down, in a large flat baking dish.
Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave at HIGH 1/2 the estimated time.
Turn breast side up; cover again with waxed paper.
Microwave at HIGH remaining minimum time.
Check for doneness by inserting a standard oven thermometer into the meatiest part of the thigh.
Temperature should be 170° to 175° when the turkey is first removed from the microwave, and should reach 185° after standing 10 minutes.
Remove the thermometer and return turkey to microwave at HIGH if more cooking is required.
Let stand, covered with foil, 15 to 20 minutes or longer before carving.
