Shotgun Billy S Turkey Chili With Black Beans
|Ground coriander||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Black beans||16 Ounce, drained, rinsed (1 Can)|
|Tomatoes||28 Ounce, undrained and coarsely chopped (1 Can)|
|Coarsely chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Red bell pepper||To Taste, cut into 1/4 inch cubes|
|Chili powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Cilantro||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), coarsely chopped|
|Dried marjoram leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Dried oregano leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Crushed red pepper flakes||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Cubed cooked turkey||2 Cup (32 tbs) (1/2 Inch Cubes)|
|Jalapeno chilies||2 , seeded and minced|
|Grated reduced fat cheddar cheese||4 Tablespoon|
To Microwave: Combine onion, bell pepper, garlic, chilies and tomatoes, including liquid, in 3-quart microwave-safe dish.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, coriander, oregano, marjoram, red pepper flakes and cinnamon; cover.
Microwave on HIGH (100% power) 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes.
Stir in beans and turkey; cover.
Microwave on HIGH 4 minutes; stir in cilantro.
