|For recipe 1 curried tuna with apples and almonds|
|Solid tuna in olive oil||7 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Mayonnaise||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Curry powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Diced apple||3 Tablespoon|
|Chopped toasted almonds||2 Tablespoon|
|Raisins||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Sliced green onion||2 Tablespoon|
|For recipe 2 mediterranean style tuna|
|Finely minced garlic||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Capers||1 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Minced sweet onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Chopped olives||2 Tablespoon (Kalamata / Other Olives)|
|Sun dried tomatoes in olive oil||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Minced parsley||2 Tablespoon|
Recipe 1 - Curried Tuna with Apples and Almonds
Scoop tuna out into a medium bowl and flake with a fork. Mix in enough mayonnaise to make a spreadable consistency. Stir in curry powder. Add apple, almonds, raisins and onion and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Makes about 1 1/2 cups filling.
Recipe 2 - Mediterranean Style Tuna
Scoop tuna out into a medium bowl and flake with a fork. Mix in enough mayonnaise to make a spreadable consistency. Stir in garlic, capers and onion. Add olives, tomatoes and parsley and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Makes about 1 1/2 cups filling.
Change up the bread for greater variety. Naan, pita, bagels, baguettes, flour tortillas, sourdough, whole wheat bread, rolls…so many delicious possibilities!
