Fresh Strawberry Trifle
|Lady finger||12 , split|
|Fresh strawberries||1 Quart, cleaned, hulled and sliced|
|Dry sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||14 Ounce (1 Can, Not Evaporated Milk)|
|Lemon juice concentrate||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Egg whites||3 , stiffly beaten|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Pint, whipped (1 Cup)|
Line bottom and side of 2-quart glass serving bowl with ladyfingers.
Spoon 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries over bottom; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sherry.
In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, ReaLemon and 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries; mix well.
Thoroughly fold in egg whites, whipped cream (2 cups) and remaining 2 tablespoons sherry.
Spoon into prepared bowl.
Top with remaining strawberries and additional whipped cream if desired.
