Easy Beef Wellington
|Filet mignon||4 Ounce (1 For Each Person)|
|Frozen puff pastry||1 (Enough To Cover Each Filet)|
|Liverwurst||1 (Bittner's Herbed)|
|Bacon slice||4 (1 Slice Per Fillet)|
Chop mushrooms and bacon; fry lightly together.
Sear filets on both sides.
Thaw puff pastry; roll 1/8 inch thick.
Cut into squares, large enough to wrap filets.
Combine liverwurst, mushrooms and bacon.
Place 1 tablespoon of liverwurst mixture on each filet.
Wrap pastry about each filet so that liverwurst is up and pastry folds are down.
Place on cookie sheet, sealed side down.
Brush lightly with a mixture of 1 well beaten egg mixed with a teaspoon of water.
Bake at 400Â°F for 30 minutes until pastry puffs and browns.
