Florida Chiffon Pie
|Unflavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon|
|Orange juice||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Grated orange rind||1 Tablespoon|
|Lime juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped|
|Chocolate cookie crumb crust/9 baked tart shells||9 Inch|
Combine gelatine, orange juice, sugar, flour and salt.
Place over medium heat; stir constantly until gelatine is dissolved and mixture is slightly thickened.
Remove from heat; add orange rind, and lime juice.
Chill until mixture is slightly thicker than the consistency of unbeaten egg white.
Fold into whipped cream.
Turn into pie crust or tart shells and chill until firm.
If desired, garnish with whipped cream, orange sections and shaved choco- late.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
