London Broil Broiled Flank Steak
|Flank steak||1 1⁄2 Pound, scored|
|Salad oil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
Select a top-quality flank steak.
Place in shallow pan.
Combine oil, vinegar, and garlic; pour over steak.
Cover and let stand in refrigerator several hours or overnight, turning steak several times.
Broil steak 3 inches from heat about 5 minutes; season.
Turn; broil 5 minutes more (for medium); season.
Remove to heated platter.
To serve, carve in very thin slices diagonally across grain.
