Texas Beef Skillet

Ingredients
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Chopped onion 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Chili powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Canned tomatoes 16 Ounce, cut up (1 Can)
  Canned red kidney beans 15 Ounce (Undrained, 1 Can)
  Uncooked packaged precooked rice 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Chopped green pepper 3 Tablespoon
  Shredded sharp process american cheese 3 Ounce (3/4 Cup)
  Corn chips 1 Cup (16 tbs), crushed
Directions

Brown the ground beef and onion in skillet over medium heat. (Electric skillet 350°.)
Stir in chili powder, salt, garlic salt, tomatoes, beans, rice, water, and green pepper.
Cover and reduce heat (220°).
Simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes.
Top with cheese.
Cover and heat till cheese melts, about 3 minutes.
Sprinkle corn chips around the edge.
