Texas banana spread is called so because it uses Texas pecans. This is a recipe for which you can use frozen overripe bananas as well.
1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
1 , beaten
1 Cup (16 tbs)
Vanilla bean paste
1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
In another bowl, mix shortening, sugar and eggs and mix until smooth.
Mix bananas, water and dry ingredients alternatively.
Add vanilla bean paste and pecans. Mix the batter well.
Grease a bread pan and pour the batter into it.
Bake it one hour or until bread is done.
