1) In a pan add all the ingredients except the cornstarch and bring to a boil and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
2) After 30 minutes slowly add the cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly to thicken the sauce. Bring back to a boil, and keep stirring.
3) Taste along the way, adjusting the salt or pepper as you like it.
4) Serve on your favorite hotdog, with brown mustard, diced onion, in a steamed hotdog bun.
This sauce will be thin and will thicken as it cools down.
