Texas Hash

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Green pepper 1 , chopped
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
  Beef 1 Pound, ground
  Tomato juice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Saute onion and pepper in shortening in large skillet.
Add ground beef; brown well.
Add tomato juice, rice, chili powder and seasonings; stir well.
Pour into casserole; cover.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
