Texas Sour Cream Cookies
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1 Teaspoon|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
Combine flour, nutmeg, soda, baking powder, and salt.
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well.
Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture.
Then add pecans and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonsful onto well-greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
