California style chicken is a baked chicken preparation made with red potatoes and green beans. An oven baked recipe, the california style chicken is herbed with basil and flavored with garlic powder. With zesty tomato sauce to taste, the califormia style chicken is topped off with onions for a crunchy taste and great texture when taken out of the oven!
Ingredients
  Red wine vinegar 3 Tablespoon
  Sweet basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Red potatoes 12 Small, thinly sliced
  Chicken pieces 2 1⁄2 Pound, fat trimmed, skinned if desired
  Frozen whole green beans 10 Ounce, thawed and drained (1 Package)
Directions

Preheat oven to 375°.
In small bowl, combine tomato sauce, vinegar and seasonings.
Spread 1/2 cup tomato mixture in bottom of 9xl3-inch baking dish; top with potatoes and 1/2 can French Fried Onions.
Arrange chicken over potatoes and onions.
Spoon 1 cup tomato mixture over chicken and potatoes.
Bake, covered, at 375° for 35 minutes.
Stir green beans into potatoes.
Spoon remaining tomato mixture over chicken.
Bake, covered, 10 to 15 minutes or until chicken and beans are done.
Top chicken with remaining onions; bake, uncovered, 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
