we are going to give a demo on how to make Five Minute California Roll. Its actually sushi roll that has been modified to suit Americans because they didn't like the taste of the weed. These rolls taste good only when they are rolled out properly and made hygienically. Five Minute California Roll is all about making perfect rolls in a neat method.
Ingredients
  Chinese cabbage 2 Small, sliced
Artificial crab meat 4 , sliced
Rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Per Person)
  Rice vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Sesame seed 2 Tablespoon
  Wasabi sauce 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1. Using a heavy pan add water so that when you touch the surface of the rice the water covers the first joint of your index finger. Cover the pan and bring to boil. Turn heat down to lowest setting. Do not uncover rice. rice is done in 15 minutes.
2. Put a couple of tbsp of rice vinegar in a bowl of water. It prevents spreading of germs and prevents the rice from sticking onto the hands.
3. Place the nori sheet with its textured side up and spread a handful of rice, thinly and evenly.
4. Spread the rice all over the sheet and spread thinly so that you can see the nori sheet.
5. Spread the sesame seed over the rice.
6. Lift up the nori sheet and flip it over on top of the sushi rolling mat covered with a poly bag.
7. Make 2 lines with wasabi sauce over the nori sheet.
8. Place 2 strips of baby Chinese cabbage over the wasabi sauce.
9. Place the strips of fake crab meat over it.
10. Now roll over the nori sheet along with the mat but the mat will not be rolled along with the sushi.
11. Wet a knife and cut the sushi roll into half. Then fold it and gain cut into half and then into quarter.

I'm horrified with this video. I'm only a beginner at making sushi - I've made it a few times at home and I've had no professional training but I know good sushi when I see it. This maki was HORRIBLE. I bet it tastes good (assuming you like crab sticks, which I personally don't), except for the mayonaise sauce thing which looked quite disgustingly artificial. Some criticism: If you want to taste wasabi in your maki, then add a thin line of wasabi, not some wasabi-flavored mayonaise. Avocado has to be sliced into a long stick just like he did with cucumber, otherwise the maki roll will be crooked. A quarter of an inch isn't enough of free space on the edge. Minimum in my experience is at least half an inch, otherwise you can easily get rice on the outside of the roll, which he had! It can also make the roll fall apart if you try to pick it up with chop sticks. Don't sprinkle any seeds on the rice inside of the roll - your rice will not stick to the nori and will end up a soft unattached blob which simply falls apart. Please also watch other videos how to properly roll sushi. His roll looked way too soft and wobbly. Although, it might have been the sesame seeds and the crooked avocado which ruined the roll shape, not the technique itself. If you have some cucumber sticking out of your roll by an inch on both sides, cut it short. If you worry about wasted food, cut it off and eat it. Don't leave it sticking out like some horrid sculpture. Making maki isn't that difficult after you've tried rolling it once. He simply did it badly.
