|Vanilla||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted|
Beat egg whites with vinegar to form peaks; add vanilla and add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time to make meringue.
Spread gently in two 9 inch layer cake pans, lined with heavy brown or waxed paper.
Bake in a slow 300Â°F oven for 1 1/4 hours.
Cool well in pans and turn onto serving plate.
