  Cooking spray/Vegetable oil 1
  Plain flour 240 Gram
  Unsweetened cocoa powder 120 Gram
  Castor sugar 240 Gram
  Soda bicarbonate 2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pitted prunes 275 Gram, pureed
  Vanilla essence 2 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2
  Skimmed milk 225 Milliliter
  Strong coffee 225 Milliliter
  Icing sugar 1 Tablespoon (For Dusting)
Directions

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 and spray or grease a 22 cm cake tin with oil.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa, caster sugar, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
Add the prunes, vanilla, eggs and milk and mix well until blended.
Stir the coffee into the mixture, then pour into the prepared cake tin.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the tip of a knife inserted gently into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Leave to cool for a few minutes, then sift icing sugar over the top of the torte.
