Layered Cream Torte

Ingredients
  Frozen baked pound cake 11 1⁄4 Ounce, thawed (1 Box)
  Cream cheese 6 Ounce (2 Packages, 3 Ounces Each)
  Strawberry preserves 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sliced almonds 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Split cake in thirds horizontally.
Place on glass platter; set aside.
Place cream cheese in 2-cup glass measure.
Microwave on low for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes or until softened.
Beat cheese until smooth.
Spread between cake layer and place one on top of the other.
Spread jam over top of cake.
Microwave on medium for 2 or 3 minutes or until heated through.
Sprinkle with almonds and serve.
