Instant Date Torte
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Land O Lakes)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Blending flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped diamond walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dates||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
Melt butter in 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Remove from heat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Beat with fork until mixture is smooth and creamy, about 1 minute.
Bake at 350Â° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Serve warm, cut in squares, with ice cream or whipped cream.
For Date Bar Cookies: Cut into small bars and roll in confectioners' sugar before serving.
