Hot Herbed Tomatoes

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Ripe firm tomatoes 5 , peeled
  Chopped celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped parsley 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped chives 2 Tablespoon
  Oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Melt butter in large heavy skillet; add sugar, salt, and pepper.
Place tomatoes core-side-down in skillet; cover.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Carefully turn tomatoes; spoon butter mixture over.
Add remaining ingredients; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
Spoon sauce over tomatoes
