Cheesy Fried Green Tomatoes
|Green tomatoes||2 Large|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Grated parmesan cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Cut tomatoes into thick slices and dredge on both sides in flour.
Beat egg with salt and pepper.
Dip tomato slices into beaten egg and then into bread crumbs to coat.
Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook tomato slices on both sides until browned.
Remove to a serving dish and sprinkle with grated cheese.
