Easy Roasted Tomatoes

Host Caitlin shows you how to make an easy side dish - roasted tomatoes. This calls for very few ingredients, dresses up any plate and is a great dish to serve in the Fall. Pair this with her Whole Roasted Chicken and you have a delicious meal. Thank you, thank you for tuning in!
  Tomatoes 4 Large
  Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
  Balsamic vinegar 1 Dash
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Pepper To Taste (Optional)
  Garlic 2 Teaspoon, minced
  Italian seasoning 1 Teaspoon

1.Half your tomatoes into equal halves and set aside.
2.Pre-heat the oven at 400C.

3.In a baking sheet places the halved tomatoes and drizzle them with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
4.Season with dried Italian seasoning and a pinch of salt.
5.Place the baking sheet in the oven for 1 hour.
6.Once the tomatoes are soft and have shrunk to half the size,the tomatoes are ready.

7.They make for perfect side dish with any meal you have prepared.

Roasted tomatoes!!! That must be delicious; like, i have tried the baked tomato version and not the roasted ones. I think i would love it a lil more spicy!!!.. may be sprickled with ground pepper or so! :)

I love tomatoes... roasted tomatoes sound really exotic. great recipe! I'm gonna try this with rice and maybe some gravy... yum! :)

thanks for the link Shanti ! Heirloom tomatoes is a relatively knew term for me ! Black and white tomatoes? :) Haven't heard of such yet ! Must be genetically engineered ones right ?

Tomatoes!! my favorite...i use them in many dishes n these roasted tomatoes are so brightened that i cant resist to give them a try by this weekend...thanks for such a simple n gourmet dish:)
