Sweet And Sour Stewed Tomatoes
|Ripe tomatoes/1 1/2 pounds italian plum tomatoes||4 Large, quartered (Peeled Cored)|
1. In a saucepan combine tomatoes with the other ingredients.
2. Add a little water if tomatoes are very firm
3. Cover pan and place on a medium low flame
4. Simmer the tomatoes for 5 to 7 minutes until tender but not mushy.
5. Uncover and simmer 1/2 minute longer until moisture evaporates
6. Serve in small bowls as a side dish
