Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients
  Green tomatoes 3 Large (Cored)
  Unsifted self rising flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Directions

Cut tomatoes into 3/8 inch thick slices.
On waxed paper, mix flour with salt and pepper, then coat tomatoes with mixture and let sit for 15 minutes.
In a heavy skillet, heat 1/2 inch vegetable oil.
Lightly dredge tomatoes again in flour mixture.
Place coated tomato slice into heated oil.
Brown both sides, 3 minutes total.
Serve hot
