Rich Scalloped Tomatoes
|Tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Cooked Or Fresh)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Breadcrumbs||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
1. Start oven, set at 375° F., Moderate. Rub a 1-quart baking dish with margarine or butter.
2. Mix onion with the tomatoes.
3. Arrange a layer of tomatoes in the baking dish. Top with a layer of crumbs, sprinkle some of the salt and pepper over the crumbs, then dot with butter or margarine. Continue until all ingredients are used, finishing with crumbs and butter or margarine on top.
4. Bake 20 to 30 minutes.
