Tomato Cheese Tarts
|Filo pastry sheet||2|
|Skimmed milk soft cheese||4 Ounce (115 Gram, 1/2 Cup)|
|Basil leaves||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomatoes||3 Small, sliced|
|Black pepper||To Taste|
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/ Gas 6. Brush the sheets of filo pastry lightly with egg white and cut into sixteen 10 cm / 4 in squares.
2. Layer the squares in twos, in eight patty tins. Spoon the cheese into the pastry cases. Season with black pepper and top with basil leaves.
3. Arrange tomatoes on the tarts, add seasoning and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden. Serve warm.
