Caril De Tomato

Caril de tomato is a prawn and tomato recipe prepared with spices and green chilies. Cooked together, the caril de tomato is peppy, spicy and very savory. Served with rice with a little sauce or pan gravy poured over, it makes a great meal.
  Prawns 1⁄2 Kilogram, uncooked
  Ripe tomatoes 1⁄2 Kilogram
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Peppercorns 8
  Cumin 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 3
  Coconut 1
  Onions 2
  Ginger 1 Inch
  Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm)
  Green chilies 2
  Oil 2 Tablespoon

Extract milk from the coconut-thick as well as thin.
Fry the onion, ginger, garlic and chillies in a little oil until onions are slightly brown.
Add the turmeric powder, peppercorns, cloves and cumin and fry for 30 seconds or so.
Now add the prawns (if using cooked prawns add at the end of the cooking) and fry for a few minutes.
Add the chopped tomato and cook for 5 minutes.
Then add the thin coconut milk and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the thick coconut milk and cook until the sauce gets thick.
Boil the mixture for a few more minutes.
