Corn Pops Toffee
|Real butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1 Tablespoon|
Melt butter slowly.
Stir in sugar, then corn syrup and water slowly.
Bring to a boil.
Wash down sides of pan with a pastry brush so it won't crystallize.
Put on a lid for 1 minute.
Cook to 290Â°, then slowly pour over 1 bag of Corn Pops (Walker brand or Western Family - not cereal -in chip aisle).
Stir in toasted almonds, pecans or any kind of nuts.
Spread out on cookie sheet.
Break up when cool.
Can drizzle melted chocolate over it.
