Caramel Apples is an extremely easy and different dish. The last time I served it for a an informal party at home and the guests loved it. Try this Caramel Apples recipe and you will understand why.
  Apples 6
All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Cornstarch 1⁄2 Ounce
  Egg whites 2
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Oil 1 Tablespoon
  Sesame seeds 1 Tablespoon

Peel, core and quarter the apples.
Dust them lightly with some of the plain (all-purpose) flour.
Sift remaining flour with cornflour (cornstarch) into a mixing bowl.
Add egg whites and mix to a paste.
Add the apple quarters and stir to coat with paste.
Deep fry in hot oil until golden.
Drain well.
Place the sugar in a saucepan with 2 tablespoons water.
Heat, stirring, until sugar has dissolved.
Add the oil and continue heating slowly until sugar caramelises and is a light golden brown.
Stir in the apple and sesame seeds.
Serve immediately in lightly oiled dishes.
Place a bowl of cold water on the table so that guests may drop the apple in the water to harden the caramel before eating.
