Yuletide Toffee Squares
|Quick oats/Old fashioned oats||4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs), uncooked|
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), melted (1 1/2 Stick)|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Tablespoon|
|Semi sweet chocolate morsels||12 Ounce (1 Package/ 2 Cup)|
|Chopped nuts||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
COMBINE oats, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt in large bowl; mix well.
Firmly press mixture into greased 15x10-inch jelly-roll pan.
BAKE in preheated 400°F.
oven for about 18 minutes or until mixture is brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven.
Immediately sprinkle chocolate morsels evenly over toffee.
Let stand for 10 minutes.
SPREAD chocolate evenly over toffee; sprinkle with nuts.
