Thin Garlic Cheese Toast

|French bread loaf||1 Pound (1 Piece)|
|Butter/Margarine||2 Tablespoon, softened|
|Garlic salt||To Taste|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese/Grated parmesan cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cut bread into 1/2 inch slices.
Spread generously with butter; sprinkle with garlic salt.
Top each slice with desired cheese.
Bake at 425° for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
