|Ripe firm tomatoes||2 Large, chopped|
|Loosely packed chopped basil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped basil||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Loosely Packed)|
|Chopped endive||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Endive||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Virgin olive oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Italian bread loaf||1|
Mix chopped tomatoes, basil, endive, and olive oil and let sit at room temperature. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Slice bread and cut into appetizer size pieces. Toast bread pieces.
Top with tomato mixture and serve immediately.
